Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas

Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas (VOACC) is a faith-based, nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire self-reliance, dignity, and hope through housing, health and human services for over 125 years. Their vision is to ensure that all people live in safety, with social, emotional, and physical well-being, spiritual fulfillment, justice, and hope. We operate over 49 programs focused on 8 areas of service: homeless services, affordable housing, mental health, substance use recovery, intellectual/developmental disabilities services, community re-entry, veteran services and workforce development. VOACC has over 800 staff members and more than 2,000 volunteers. The organization helps over 10,000 individuals and families every year from Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia and the Carolinas.

C-360 has had the pleasure of working with VOACC since 2009 developing and executing public relations strategy and campaigns. In July 2022, we translated their national marketing and fundraising goals into a robust social media plan including organic and paid tactics. We created a social strategy playbook and implemented best practices to increase number of followers, increase channel engagement, and enhance storytelling to entice donations.

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: There’s more to marketing than just social media. The brochure we created for VOACC is a perfect example. They needed a piece of collateral that would help them say “thank you” to donors, bring awareness to programs through client’s stories, and communicate ways to stay connected and up-to-date about VOACC. Our response was “Check. Check. And check.” It’s always great partnering with groups who do such important work!
